Little Rooks Nursery is part of our Early Years Department, situated in a purpose-built building with its own dedicated outside space. Children from six months old can learn through an exciting and stimulating play based environment, with wraparound care available from 8am through to 6pm. The nursery team prides itself on providing a warm, welcoming and caring environment. Working closely together with parents and carers each child’s individual needs are respected and nurtured.

The concise class sizes mean that all children get the specialist attention of a private school nursery, with the added beauty of the grounds and amazing facilities. Our school and nursery teachers have high expectations and foster an ethos of joyful learning through their own enthusiasm and dedication. Independence is important to us at Rookwood and it is encouraged and developed from an early age, which enables our children to be self-motivated and resilient. Our children leave the Early Years with confidence, enquiring minds and a desire to learn, preparing them for the next chapter of school and the wider world. Younger members of the school can often be seen having fun and exploring the school grounds in all weathers, fully involved in Rookwood life and visibly flourishing in the safe, green and harmonious surroundings of the school.
We encourage our nursery children to spend time outdoors and have a new purpose-built outdoor learning area that both Nursery and the Reception class share. The children also benefit from using the varied play areas including the pirate ship playground and also our extensive grounds.
