The Little Rooks children started the new school year making new friends and re-establishing old ones. It was great to see them all having so much fun together. As part of the ‘It’s All About Me’ topics they looked at and learning about different families including the Royal family. The death of the queen was a shock to us all and it prompted may conversations. The children were support with stories, video clips and role paly characters of the Royal family.
The children continue to caring for our Nursery Pets the African Snails and they have learnt about how they hibernate and how important it was that we give then plenty to eat and how to get them clean. We have covered several topics this term including ‘Light & Dark’ and learnt several new nursery rhymes. The Little Rook Children are looking very smart in their new logo tops. We are so proud to have such a great comfortable easy top that we can put on and off on our own and it has been good for the children to be more independent. The older children have recently had a great time when they visited the Reception class for a Taster, they enjoyed all of the Christmas activities and talking to Mrs Walsh. This term has ended with a fantastic Nativity performance that lots of family and friends came to watch
