Studying Business at Rookwood supports our pupils to become more aware of their environment, the part they play as a consumer and the carefully considered business decisions designed to influence the market. Building professionalism
At Rookwood School the ethos of learning Business Studies reflects professionalism and tenacity. We use innovative learning platforms and a variety of Microsoft programmes, to prepare students for life in the digital business world. Real life examples and experiences are used throughout, with students learning about financial motivation through jellybean wages and interviewing each other as part of the human resources module.
GCSE Business Studies
We have selected the AQA exam board for the GCSE pupils, which includes topics such as Business in the real world and influences, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. At A Level, the study focus elevates to Business Strategy, including topics such as Decision Making on various areas of business, such as Management and Leadership, Strategic Marketing, Operational Performance, Financial Performance, Human Resources and Strategic Change Management.
