Equestrian success

The Rookwood Equestrian Team had the opportunity to compete again on the 12th September after months of cancellations at the National Schools Association (NSEA) Show Jumping show at Rectory Farm in Gloucestershire. The team of Phoebe, Charlie and Imogen competed and did Rookwood proud.

On Saturday 26th September, Phoebe (Y9) attended a one day event at Ascot Under Wychwood, Oxfordshire, organised by SEG (Schools Equestrian Games). Phoebe rode as an individual for Rookwood School and finished in 11th place!

On Tuesday 29th September, the Rookwood Equestrian team, this time of Charlie, Phoebe, Grace and Chloe attended their first team training since February. Riding under lights they were put through their paces by a new instructor, who had them working really hard on the partnership between horse and rider.

Phoebe also rode as an individual representing Rookwood School at the Horse-Events Swalcliffe unaffiliated & SEG ODE on the 10th October in the 80cm section. A seasonal best dressage score of 30.5 helped Phoebe to 4th place. This also means that she qualified for the Horse Events Championships 2021. Well done Phoebe!
