Puzzles, Jungles, and Movement Exploration

In Butterflies, the Little Rooks children have been exploring how people and animals move through the world around them. One of our favourite activities was a matching puzzle, which sparked curiosity and conversations about where the people in the puzzle were going and how they would move their bodies to get there.

Animals in Little Rooks

We also dived into the jungle, learning about different animals and their habitats. This sensory experience brought the jungle to life, with materials like grass and mud helping the children feel connected to the animals’ environments. As we explored, the children considered what each animal eats to stay strong and how they use their bodies to move through the jungle.

To extend the fun, we played movement and music games, mimicking the ways jungle animals travel through their habitats. These activities not only sparked curiosity but also helped the children develop an understanding of movement, strength, and the importance of a healthy diet for all living things.
