This week in the Butterfly Room at Little Rooks Nursery, the theme has been ‘Animals’, and the children have been having a fantastic time exploring the animal kingdom.
In our small world tuff trays, we’ve set up various animal habitats filled with creatures from around the globe. The children have enjoyed discovering where different animals live and what they like to eat, enriching their understanding of the diverse world of animals.
In the maths area, our little learners have been engaged in animal memory games, solving puzzles, and counting the dots on a leopard. These activities have not only been fun but have also helped them grasp the concept that some animals are big and others are small.
In our art area, creativity has flourished as the children have been busy crafting animal faces. They’ve had wonderful conversations about their favourite animals and shared why they like them so much, encouraging self-expression and enhancing their communication skills.
It’s been a week full of discovery, creativity, and joy in the Butterfly Room! We look forward to continuing our animal adventures in the days to come.
