It has been another busy term for boarders. Our Taskmaster Tuesdays have gone from strength to strength with boarders enjoying scavenger hunts, a photographic challenge and ‘savage bingo’ where players can choose a prize from the table or ‘steal’ one from another player. Some children have proved to be unexpectedly ruthless!
Our cook Mrs Friend has continued to trial new recipes, with tandoori chicken naan breads, Cajun ‘dirty rice’ and sticky sausage tray bake proving very popular.
At the weekends boarders have been climbing at Golden Gecko, shopping in Southampton, taken a tourist tour of Salisbury, gone dog walking at Danebury and visited Jane Austen’s house.
Our programme of supporting the development of older boarders independence has grown, with boarders now able to access local, football, netball, boxing and fitness suites.
Next term we look forward to warmer days in the garden and preparing for prom and ‘Rookfest’ our very own boarders festival!
