Rookwood is conveniently situated close to Andover town centre in Hampshire. It is within easy walking distance of the railway station, with good services to Salisbury, Basingstoke and London Waterloo. By road, there is easy access from the A303 and A343, with the journey from Andover to London taking about one and a half hours.
From Salisbury
Coming up the A343 from Salisbury, turn right (second exit) at the roundabout by the Wyevale Garden Centre and proceed straight on across one roundabout and two mini roundabouts. You will shortly see the school playing fields on the left hand side. At the next mini roundabout, take the first exit, turning sharp left into Weyhill Road. Carry on straight across one more roundabout at the entrance to Test Valley Borough Council offices and the school is shortly after on the left.
From London
Travelling down the A303, ignore the Andover turn-off and carry on past the Stockbridge and Salisbury exits. Take the next exit immediately after the Salisbury one, turn right at the first roundabout (A343 Newbury), cross over the A303 and at the next roundabout take the last exit signposted “Local traffic only”. You are now in Weyhill Road. Carry straight on, until you come to a roundabout with the Railway Tavern on the right. Go straight on, and Rookwood is immediately after The Andover Nursing Home on the right.
From Devizes
Follow the road to Ludgershall and in the centre of the town turn left to Andover. Continue straight on for about three miles until the large roundabout which gives access to the A303. At this roundabout go straight across following the sign “Local traffic only” and proceed as above down Weyhill Road.
From Newbury
Either take the A34 down to the A303 and then follow the directions “From London” or take the A343 down to Andover. Keep straight on until you come to the large roundabout with the Hungry Horse pub on the right. At this roundabout take the third exit, following signs to the station, and then take the first turning on the left. Follow this road round and you will come into The Avenue. At the t-junction with Weyhill Road turn left and Rookwood is on the right hand side immediately after The Andover Nursing Home.
