The past two weeks in boarding have been packed with laughter, creativity, and friendly competition! From exciting weekend outings to relaxed evenings in, there’s been something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the highlights was our weekend bowling trip, which brought out everyone’s competitive side. Students faced off not just against each other, but also took on Miss Frame in a light-hearted battle for the highest score. Strikes were cheered, and gutter balls were met with laughter, as everyone gave it their best shot!
We were also thrilled to welcome an extra boarder this week, and they jumped straight into the fun with a variety of activities. Evenings were filled with creative energy as we tried our hands at tie-dyeing, producing a rainbow of colourful designs that students proudly wore afterwards.
In the kitchen, delicious smells filled the air as we got stuck into baking cakes and brownie, a sweet treat for all and a great way to unwind after the school day. Alongside this, we explored our artistic sides with some relaxing scratch art, revealing beautiful patterns and designs.
Miss Frame also cooked up a storm in the kitchen, treating everyone to some amazing homemade meals. Her chilli chicken ramen was a spicy hit, and the taco night was a fun, hands-on dinner that had everyone going back for seconds!
Outdoor play and indoor games kept spirits high too. We made the most of the autumn sunshine with some time outside, and when indoors, we gathered around for a mix of classic and quirky board games. Among the favourites were:
- Buffet Boss – a hilarious stacking game that tested our balance and nerves!
- Avocado Smash – a fast-paced snap-style game that kept everyone on their toes.
- Oh My Pigeons! – a strategic card game where quick thinking and sneaky tactics ruled the roost.
These past two weeks have been a brilliant reminder of what makes boarding life so special: a sense of community, shared laughter, and endless opportunities to try new things together. As we head into the break, Miss Frame wishes everyone a relaxing and much-deserved rest over the next two weeks. You’ve earned it!
