Extra-Curricular

Senior School Extra Curricular

Our pupils’ education is so much more than what is experienced in the classroom. At Rookwood School, we pride ourselves on being able to offer a rich and varied programme of extra-curricular activities for all ages and interests.

Choice and Challenge

Rookwood offers so much to our pupils, within and beyond the curriculum. Our extra-curricular opportunities not only develop our pupils’ minds and bodies but also provide lasting memories. Additionally the enrichment opportunities offered at Rookwood make for an exciting hive of activity where school life becomes so much more than the learning but indeed an adventure of personal interest.

We value the individual interests of our pupils and encourage them to try something new. Pupils enjoy activities ranging from Art and Crafts, Chess, Coding, Cookery, Drama, Science and Mindfulness. Our activities are provided by both school staff and also external facilitators which enables such broad choice. Activities take place at lunchtimes, after school and in the case of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, at weekends.

Sports at Rookwood

Our extra-curricular activities change throughout the year to take advantage of the seasons and to ensure that the programme is varied and continues to meet the needs of all pupils from Prep through to Senior School. Part of the programme gives pupils the opportunity to pursue sporting interests such as Gymnastics, Tag Rugby, Football (for boys and girls), Netball, Trampolining, Cross Country, Wall Climbing and more.
