Each year, Activities Week provides pupils with the opportunity to take part in a range of enriching and memorable experiences designed to help them try something new and build connections.
As part of Activities Week, pupils from Years Reception,1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 came together to learn and perform a British Sign Language (BSL) version of What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong – and it was truly heartwarming to watch.
With this year’s theme of ‘community’, the pupils reflected on the importance of connection and explored how we can better communicate with those we might not always find it easy to speak to. Learning some basic sign language was a meaningful and inclusive way to bridge that gap.
Each group was incredible – and amazingly, even our Reception children learned the full song in under an hour!
We’re so proud of every single one of them. Watch their beautiful performance below.
