From the magna carta to Brexit, from Winston Churchill to Donald Trump, and from feminism to anarchism, there’s no denying that it’s an interesting and engaging qualification.
What skills will I need to be successful?
You need to be able to interpret sources of evidence, spotting bias and ‘fake news’. You should have good debating and essay-writing skills, able to present an argument and consider its counter-argument. Above all, you need to be interested in politics, keeping abreast of current affairs and the news.
Where can it take me in the future?
It’s ideal if you’re considering studying politics, sociology, ethics, advertising or journalism at university and is highly regarded by employers in industries including politics, international organisations, the media, government and the civil service.
