15 Rookwood pupils from age 7 to 16 have once again gained top marks in their recent LAMDA exams with two gaining high merits and the rest distinctions. Exams were taken in solo acting, public speaking, verse and prose and musical theatre.
Mrs Blackmore who teaches LAMDA at Rookwood alongside English and Drama said; “LAMDA exams inspire and empower the students to become confident communicators, a skill that is vital for our modern world. Helping these young people to grow in confidence and achieve is unbelievably rewarding.”
Macey in Year 11 who achieved an distinction for her gold medal in Musical Theatre said; “I am delighted that I now have UCAS points already and that that the LAMDA qualifications are recognised all over the world. I am very grateful for the support that has been given to me.”
