Gift and Talented

Further Opportunities

At Rookwood School, the needs of more able pupils are well met. Whether gifted across the curriculum or with an enhanced aptitude for a specific subject, our teachers are able to meet the needs of individual pupils. Our small classes allow teachers to spend more time with our more able pupils, to challenge them and to tailor provision to meet individual needs.

Personalised and holistic

Our personalised and holistic approach to education at Rookwood School enables us to identify children with particular gifts and talents. Staff are well versed in differentiation strategies in the classroom to ensure every pupil is stretched and the more able, in any particular subject, are challenged in the younger years

Inclusive stretch and challenge

Diverse enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom also provide learning and personal growth far beyond what many pupils initially thought were even possible. It is the Rookwood way to encourage all learners to discover their innate talents and to encourage everyone to move beyond their comfort zone which can become apparent in many aspects of school life. Therefore we have an inclusive approach, believing that every pupil is gifted in their own way.
