Year 10 students recently visited Bath University as part of their futures education programme, giving them the chance to experience what life as a university student could look like after Sixth Form.
During the visit, students explored the university campus alongside current undergraduates, learning more about different courses, student accommodation, independent living, cooking, and managing day-to-day responsibilities. The trip offered a fantastic insight into the opportunities and experiences that come with university life.
The day also included a university-style lecture before students took part in a creative challenge to design their own university. Working in teams, Year 10 came up with a range of imaginative and engaging ideas, showcasing plenty of creativity and enthusiasm.
Students also visited the university’s impressive sports complex, where they completed a series of fitness tests using state-of-the-art equipment. The activities gave students the opportunity to analyse their athletic performance while gaining valuable practical insight linked to their GCSE studies.
It was an enjoyable and informative experience for all involved, helping students to start thinking about their future pathways and ambitions beyond school.
