Rookwood School celebrates A Level success in 2026

Rookwood School is proud to announce another exceptional set of A Level results today, reflecting the commitment, talent, and resilience of our students. This year, 60% of all grades awarded were at A*- B, and 80% A – C with a 100% pass rate across all subjects.
Rookwood students further excelled in creative subjects including Fine Art, Textile Design and Photography, with 100% of grades awarded A* - A - an outstanding achievement and testament to the exceptional talent, creativity and dedication of the students and teachers.
Strong results were also achieved across the wider curriculum, including subjects such as Design & Technology and Geography; as well as the school’s vocational provision, with 100% pass rate at Distinction in BTEC Level 3 Sport.
In addition to these superb grades, our students achieved conditional offers for their university applications, meaning our students secured their first-choice university destinations.
Mr Robinson, Headteacher, said: ”We are incredibly proud of our students and all they have achieved. These results reflect not only their academic ability, but the determination, creativity and resilience they have demonstrated throughout their time at Rookwood.
“Our school motto, Sapere Aude – Dare to Know, encourages our students to be curious, to challenge themselves and to have the confidence to pursue their individual talents and ambitions. These results are a wonderful reflection of that spirit, with excellent achievements across academic, creative and vocational subjects. As our leavers take their next steps, we hope they continue to Dare to Know, embrace new opportunities and achieve more than they ever thought possible.”
Among those celebrating was Zac, who secured his place at the University of East Anglia, to study Energy Engineering. Zac was thrilled with his results and said, ‘I thought I hadn’t done enough, but have checked my email and I’m in.’ Zac will start university in September and says that ‘he is excited and nervous about his next steps.’ We wish him every success and look forward to hearing about how he gets on.
