Facilities
The Nursery and Reception classes are part of an Early Years department, situated in a purpose-built building with its own dedicated outside space. Children from two-years-old can learn through an exciting and stimulating play based environment, with wraparound care available from 8am through to 6pm.
Dormice
A calm, nurturing room where our youngest children aged 6 to 12 months are cared for with warmth, reassurance and plenty of opportunities to explore through their senses.
Rabbits
A happy, stimulating space for children aged 12 to 18 months, where growing confidence, movement and curiosity are encouraged through play and discovery.
Hedgehogs
A lively and supportive environment where children aged 18 to 24 months begin to develop greater independence, communication and confidence through purposeful play.
Foxes and Owls
Our preschool rooms are interconnected rooms, allowing us to set up a wide variety of activities to engage the inquisitive minds of our 2 to 3 year olds and our 3 to 4 year-olds.
Early Years Garden
Our outside classroom is shared with Reception Class and our children are actively encouraged to spend time learning and playing outdoors, no matter the weather!
Food and drink
At Little Rooks Nursery, the children have plenty of opportunities to top up their energy levels during the day.
Children are provided with a snack during the session (morning and/or afternoon). We encourage healthy eating and snacks are generally fruit, raisins, vegetables or breadsticks, sometimes sandwiches or crackers, accompanied by a drink of water or milk. We also offer healthy hot meals at lunchtime.
