Exciting news has arrived from the Prep School this week, as six of our pupils have been announced as progressing to the next stage of the BBC 500 Words story competition! With tens of thousands of entries submitted nationwide and only 5,000 selected for the second round by the Reading Agency, this is a remarkable achievement.
All of our young writers who entered the competition deserve huge praise for embracing our school motto, “Dare to Know,” and letting their ideas shine with creativity, confidence, and curiosity. Special congratulations go to Camden, Alfie, Betty, Bella, Jack, and Eleanor, whose stories stood out to the judges and earned them a well- deserved place in the next round.
The official shortlist will be announced in January, and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing where these fantastic stories take our pupils next. A huge well done to all of our talented young writers for their hard work, imagination, and dedication!
