Rookwood School is proud to announce another exceptional set of A Level results, reflecting the commitment, talent, and resilience of our students and staff. This year, 43% of all grades awarded were at A*-A, and 57% at A*-B, with a 100% pass rate across all subjects.

Subjects achieving particularly outstanding results include:

  • English – 100% A*-A
  • EPQ – 100% A*-A
  • Religious Studies – 100% A*-A
  • Geography – 100% A*
  • Economics – 100% A*-B

In addition to these superb grades, our students achieved conditional offers for 96% of their university applications, meaning the majority of students secured their first-choice university destinations.

Mr Robinson, Headteacher at Rookwood School, said: “We are immensely proud of this year’s A Level cohort. Their determination, hard work, and resilience have been truly inspiring, and these results are a fitting reward for their efforts. Our dedicated staff have supported students every step of the way, and it is wonderful to see so many moving on to the universities and pathways of their choice. This is a special moment in their lives, and we wish them every success in the exciting journeys ahead.”

Among those celebrating is Elysia, who is delighted to have secured her place at Bangor University to study Marine Biology. She said: “Being at Rookwood has always inspired me to dream big. I’ve always been fascinated by the oceans and my teachers honed in on this, encouraging me to pursue this dream. My desire is to become a marine biologist, and achieving a place to study Marine Biology brings me one step closer to this. For this, I will be eternally grateful to Rookwood.”

Lara was thrilled with her results, which have earned her a place at University of York – the university she had always dreamed of attending – to read English. Jake is off to Cardiff University to study Economics. Reflecting on his time at Rookwood Sixth Form, Jake said: “It’s been a really enjoyable two years. My subject teachers have such deep understanding of their subject areas and have been brilliant at adapting their teaching styles to really help me succeed.”

With students heading to leading universities and a variety of exciting future pathways, Rookwood continues to foster an environment where academic excellence and strong pastoral care go hand in hand, and we hope they will continue to Dare to Know and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
