This term we have the most Boarders for a number of years making for an extremely busy term. We welcomed several new boarders, three new members of staff and a four-legged friend. Mrs Bekah Milton joins us as a part time Houseparent on weekday evenings; Mr Will Few is the new Houseparent for the Boys House and Mr Rob Faulkner is our Gap Assistant.

The staff have also been busy organising our ever popular themed Tuesday activities including: Bingo, and a Scavenger Hunt. It is fair to say that everyone eagerly looks forward to finding out what is on offer each week. Due to popular demand we also revisited ‘Taskmaster’ during which the Boarders had to make an imaginative sandwich and a costume made from items around the House, this was hugely enjoyable for everyone as you can see from the photographs.

Finally, we also welcomed a very different type of ‘Staff member’ with arrival of Nellie a rescue dog who has been adopted from  North Macedonia. Nellie has proved a great hit with everyone because of her calm and gentle nature and the ability to lend a confidential and non-judgemental ear when needed. You may see Nellie accompanying the boarders to school in the mornings as part of her Boarding support role.

Nellie is being trained not to approach other children (or adults) without permission but if you would like to meet her, do come over and say “Hello”!
